Volunteering For Epilepsy Ontario

Positions Available

Epilepsy Ontario has volunteer opportunities in the following positions:

Executive Committee MembersExpand Executive Committee Members Section

The Executive Committee, also more commonly known as a board of directors, sets the direction of the organization.

We are currently looking for new board members with a high degree of personal commitment to our cause who have the energy to devote up to 12 hours per month involving:

  • Attending board meetings on the third Wednesday of every month (5.30pm-7.30pm)
  • Participating on a board committee and/or project work
  • Attending annual events such as the AGM and strategic planning sessions

Who have the following expertise:

  • Fundraising
  • Governance
  • Finance/Accounting
  • Research
  • Stakeholders (living with epilepsy)

Epilepsy Ontario has a number of committees that welcome the participation of committed people who are willing to dedicate the time and effort to make things happen. Our committees include: Advocacy and Government Relations, Resource Development, Research Policy Development, Governance, Finance, Nominating, and Human Resources.

Upcoming events include Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon, and various local Public Awareness events. Check our events listings for opportunities.

Join Team Epilepsy Ontario in either the 5k walk or either the half or full marathon events. Have fun, develop your fitness and raise money for a good cause all in one day! Or organize your own unique event such as a garage sale, golf tournament, or fundraising dinner on behalf of Epilepsy Ontario – please just let us know ahead of time so we can provide you with tips, tools and advice.
