In 2011, the Canadian Epilepsy Alliance (CEA) released the results from the first ever national survey, The Impact of Epilepsy on Canadians. The survey was conducted to explore the current impact on the life and health of Canadians with epilepsy from both national and regional perspectives. This understanding is important so that solutions can be found to the challenges facing those touched by the condition. The survey was conducted among adults living with epilepsy in both official languages during the fall of 2011. In total, 671 respondents participated from across Canada. Epilepsy Ontario is a proud member of the Canadian Epilepsy Alliance (CEA).
