Epilepsy Ontario sent a pre-budget submission to the provincial government to fund epilepsy education and support programs at Community Epilepsy Agencies. While we didn’t receive dedicated funds in the provincial budget, it did include $267 million for community care programs. These programs would fit perfectly into this funding, delivering frontline services, reducing pressure on hospitals and addressing hallway medicine, supporting people living with epilepsy when and where they need it and saving the healthcare system money through reduced ER usage.
