UPDATE: This shortage has been changed to “resolved” on the drug shortages website drugshortages.ca and should be available again.

Rectal diazepam gel (Diastat) had been on long-term backorder. If your child has been prescribed this medication call your pharmacist to ask about supply. If the drug is not available, contact your child’s doctor to discuss other options.
