LCBO Provincial Donation Box Program

Did you know you can support Epilepsy Ontario when you visit the LCBO? We’re partnering with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario to take part in the Provincial Donation Box Program. From September 16 to October 13, collection boxes will be available at more than 620 LCBO stores across Ontario.

Epilepsy Ontario is rallying support from its friends at the LCBO to raise money and awareness for children with epilepsy across the province. For four weeks this fall, the Liquor Control Board of Ontario will place collection boxes at its checkout counters.

Donations collected from September 16 to October 13 will help Epilepsy Ontario fund programs such as the Summerfest Camp. This provincial program offers children with epilepsy the full camp experience, where they can make lasting friendships and unforgettable memories. With the help of the LCBO, Epilepsy Ontario is sponsoring 13 kids who registered this year.

Summerfest Camp operates out of Camp Couchiching, about two hours north of Toronto. For many children with epilepsy ages six to 15, this will be their first overnight camp. The program ensures nurses are always available for campers, so parents can rest assured knowing their child’s safety is top priority.

We’re also sharing a portion of the proceeds with 16 local epilepsy agencies across the province. These agencies provide important client support services, educational materials and a supportive environment for their communities.

The LCBO’s Provincial Donation Box Program offers an invaluable opportunity to spread the word about epilepsy. Each box will have an information card with a short description about us and the quick facts on this common brain disorder. Ready to take action? Please consider making a donation to change a life today. Look for our collection boxes at an LCBO store near you.
