National Safe Kids Campaign

      The National Safe Kids Campaign is a non-profit organization that is aimed at preventing injury in young children by providing safety tips in a variety of situations, such as bike riding and playing in water. As well, they hold various awareness campaigns, to promote child safety within the community. One of their major campaigns is the 'Safe Kids Buckle Up program.' This program provides information about passenger safety for parents of small children. Parents are welcome to bring in their car seats and get a demonstration on correct usage of the seat. The site also provides current information on product recalls. The site is well organized and easy to follow. As well, it provides a search engine to other child safety sites.

Kellogg's Kids Health and Fitness

      Kellogg's Kids Health and Fitness is a fun and interactive site aimed at children. The site promotes a healthy lifestyle, integrating both physical activity and nutritious food into a child's day-to-day activities. Their program '5 Fun Ways to Health and Fitness' provides suggestions on how to make exercise and healthy eating fun. They encourage group activity, variety in physical activity and food, and trying new things. They also provide advantages for being healthy which are directed towards the child, rather than to their parents. The site is full of bright colours and fun pictures that appeal to kids, and shows them that eating healthy and being active are actually fun and rewarding.

Epilepsy in Young Children

      Epilepsy in Young Children is aimed at providing support for parents with children who have epilepsy. The site's main focus is on stories of children with epilepsy. Currently there are 1547 stories on this site. Each story provides information on the child's diagnosis, the various medications they use and their effects, and a section for personal notes. All the information is provided by the parents of the children and the parent's contact information is available if the reader has any further questions. These stories provide relevant information to parents dealing with epilepsy, and serves as a support group. There is also an email group where one can post and read messages written by other parents who have children with epilepsy. This site has a clear and direct format, where parents are able to search for relevant stories based on various criteria, such as name of child, diagnosis, age, and treatment.
