Within the Greater Toronto Area, Standard Auto Wreckersaccepts donations of old vehicles on behalf of registered charity programs.
Standard Auto Wreckersaccepts unwanted vehicles ranging from cars to trucks and vans.
The process:
1. Call 416-286-8686 and ext. 264 and give your information to Dispatch. You will be asked some questions to establish that you meet the minimal criteria for donation.
2. Dispatch will call you to arrange a mutually agreeable time for pick-up or you can drop the car off at , Standard Auto Wreckers.
3. When our tow truck driver arrives he will accept your vehicle and its registration; issue a receipt of pick-up and have you sign the registration to transfer the ownership.
4. Standard Auto Wreckersreceives the car and processes the sale of your vehicle, submits the ownership to the Ministry of Transportation, and forwards the proceeds to the Epilepsy Ontario.
5. That Epilepsy Ontario will then forward you a tax receipt.
Donated vehicles are either recycled for the useable metals, or sent to dismantling and parts are salvaged for resale. Donors receive a free tow and a tax receipt is sent to them from the Charity that the Donor chooses. Donors can receive an estimate of the value of their used vehicle by calling 416-286-8686 ext. 264.
