"Skullguard" Helmets (ultra light-weight head protectors)
These popular, and comfortable, helmets have been designed for children and adults suffering from certain functional disorders which may make them liable to incur head injury. Those with epilepsy, head drop syndrome, poor balance, autism, head banging tendencies, hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy with spastic diplegia, spinal cord hernia and haemophilia can benefit from the protection provided.
The helmet is flexible enough to fit the contours of the head and is held in place by a chin strap which is provided with a slide buckle for length adjustment. An optional soft plastic, unlined chin cup, Type OF.648, is available, as well as various protective chin guards and alternative chin straps with different methods of closure and length adjustment.
Standard stock colours for different sizes of "Skullguard" helmets:
Sizes 42,43,44,45 and 46cm - Bright red with red lining (CODE CV-77-R-X)
Sizes 47,48,49,50,51,52,53 and 54cm - Royal Blue with red lining (CODE CV-77-B-X)
Sizes 55,56.57,58,59,60,61 and 62cm - Dark brown with red lining (CODE CV-77-N-X)

Other combinations of these colours and sizes are available but are special orders at an additional cost.

Lining: Jersey cloth, 80% cotton, 20% polyester
Foam padding: Polyether rubber
This product is registered as a Medical Device Class 1 and is CE listed. It has been tested by the Swedish Institute for the Handicapped and was found to provide good head protection (Test certificate No. 231)
All materials are colour fast and washable at 40 degrees C.
