Every client is assigned a counsellor to help develop an effective action plan through a one-to-one session. The counsellor assists the client through the action plan, and initiates a follow-up contact after the program has been completed.

Job Finding Club
This program is suitable for clients who want to find the best possible job in the shortest amount of time. It is a 3-week, full-day job search program conducted in groups of 12-15 people.
Program allows club members to:- Practice interviews and get immediate feedback.
- Develop effective résumés in order to better market themselves.
- Develop a support network.
- Learn how to use and access job search tools (Internet, directories).
- Develop effective telephone techniques.
- Access the hidden job market.
- Access computers and the Internet.

Nokee KweCareer Directions Program
The Career Directions Program lasts for a period of 6-10 weeks. The program is flexible and designed to accommodate the needs of each individual. The program has many components; some are completely optional.
Assessment- A series of Vocational Diagnostic Tests
- Creation of an Employment Action Plan
- True Colours Personality Workshop
- Develop short term and long term career goals
- Clients are provided with an assessment of their current skills levels in computers, business and interpersonal communications.
On-site Modules
Participants choose from a menu of on-site workshop modules. Each module consists of 4 weeks of on-site workshops allowing participants to address their needs and concerns.- Computer Literacy

Career Exploration Placement

Natives Literacy Initiatives Program
This is administered by a non-profit organization, whose service is free.
Objectives
- To assist adult learners who need help with everyday demands of:
- reading
- writing
- numeracy.
- To assist learners with basic skills:
- Filling out forms
- Writing letters
- Following recipes, etc.
- Communications
- Basic computer literacy
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Evening hours are available upon request. Please drop by or call for further details.

Womenpower Inc.Womanpower offers career planning and career management services to women.
Drop-in Career Resource Centre
Open 1 evening per week, women can access the comprehensive career planning library or use computers for self assessment tests, developing résumés or researching employers and job opportunities on-line.
Referral information
Referrals are given to women, both by phone and in the drop-in centre, for other employment programs, and training and education services in London. Assistance in choosing from them is also offered.
Counselling Workshops
Individual consulting appointments and group career counselling workshops are available to women. Fees.
Speakers
Over the summer, a series of speakers will be organized to discuss Current Issues about Women and Work. Proposed topics include:- Opportunities for women in commission sales
- Nonstandard work arrangements and turning them into advantage
- Developing job-share proposals and "flex work" options
- Finding solutions to the "home/work" balancing act

ATN – Accommodating, Training & Networking
for People with DisabilitiesATN is a non-profit, registered charity whose mandate is to assist people with disabilities in the areas of employment and training.
Inclusion Through Access to Technology (ITAT)
This is in-home training for people whose disabilities prevent them from participating in regular training.

Employment Skills Training CentreThe Employment Skills Training Centre offers a non-profit service to people with physical disabilities, mental health issues, learning disabilities, and/or injuries, who experience barriers to employment. It helps clients return to work or find their first job. Services include:
Work Conditioning/Return to Work
At work stations in the Centre, the participant is assigned actual work duties, tailored to meet individual interests, skills and needs, under supervision and a vocational evaluator. The program is time-limited and designed to raise a worker's productivity and tolerance for work.
Job Readiness Training (JRT)
This is a 1-week job search program focusing on résumés, cover letters, interview preparation, and effective job searching methods. To ensure that clients receive adequate attention, the program is offered to a small number of people at a time. The program tries to enhance clients' self-esteem and skills.
Job Search Follow-Up Service
Telephone or personal contact is maintained for a 3-month period with former clients to provide support and reinforce job search techniques acquired in other programs.
Vocational Evaluation
This program helps individuals determine their interests and abilities and help them use this information to identify appropriate job goals. Clients are tested by various methods: pen/paper, computer based work, etc. These test results are in turn used to determine their job titles according to the National Occupational Classification. This information allows for comparison with statistics compiled by the Human Resources Development Canada.
Functional Capacities Assessment
This evaluation helps to determine the limitations, if any, of a client's physical abilities. A written report indicates necessary accommodations and job modifications upon returning to the workplace.
Psycho-Vocational Evaluation
This evaluation identifies a clients interests, aptitudes, cognitive abilities, academic skills, work values and personality traits. Information is related to and compared with the specific abilities and capacities required by a job or training program.
Work Site Monitoring
Once a client has returned to work, a vocational evaluator may monitor the client's function and work behaviour to ensure that appropriate accommodations are in place.
Job Trail
This assessment focuses on an individual's employment readiness, transferable skills, functional performance, functional performance skills and capacities, work tolerances, interpersonal and communication skills, and on-the-job strengths and weaknesses, relative to employability criteria.

This program is designed for employers.
