Bicycle Safety

In Ontario, helmets are required by law to be worn by all cyclists 16 years of age or younger. Wear a new helmet that fits properly and has a label indicating approval by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).

Helmets act as shock absorbers, spreading and absorbing the impact energy when the head hits something. After any accident, the helmet liner is damaged and the entire helmet must be replaced.
